
Christopher M Wirsing DO FACOOG,Board Certified Obstetrician and
Gynecologist
Dr. Wirsing was born and raised in Cissna Park, IL. He received his B.A. from the University of Nortre Dame, South Bend, IN in 1976. He then received his medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1980 and completed his residency through Olympia Fields Osteopathic Hospital in 1985. Dr. Wirsing began practicing medicine in Valparaiso, Indiana in 1985 and currently offers services through Physicians for Women PC and Renew. Dr. Wirsing is board certified through the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In 2007, Dr. Wirsing studied and received training in office based medical cosmetic procedures from the International Society of Cosmetogynecology in New Jersey and training in office based laser techniques from Cutera. Dr. Wirsing’s medical interests include menopausal/hormonal management, advanced laparoscopic surgery and skin rejuvenation techniques. “I enjoy using this modern technology to help people resolve cosmetic problems that many had resigned themselves to accept as permanent conditions.” explains Dr. Wirsing.
Mary Ann Meyer Jones MD FACOG,Board Certified Obstetrician and
Gynecologist
Dr. Jones was born at Porter Memorial Hospital in Valparaiso, Indiana and was raised in Wheeler, Indiana where she graduated from Wheeler High School. She received her undergraduate and medical degrees from Indiana University. She completed her residency training at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Upon returning to Northwest Indiana she joined Dr. Wirsing’s practice in 1997 and currently offers services through Physicians For Women PC and Renew. Dr. Jones is board certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. In 2007, Dr. Jones received training in office-based laser techniques from Cutera. Dr. Jones’ special interests include adolescent health care, high risk obstetrics, bioidentical hormone replacement and laser spider vein treatment. “Our new medical grade laser allows us to offer our patients exciting cosmetic services, such as permanent hair reduction and spider vein treatment, by physicians who are skilled and experienced in the use of laser equipment,” explains Dr. Jones.
Renee McDowell,Registered Medical Assistant and
Cosmetologist
Mrs. McDowell received her cosmetology certificate from Don Roberts Beauty School in 1989 and her Associate Degree in Applied Science specializing in Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy from Commonwealth Business College in 2001. She has worked as a Medical Assistant and Instructor in Medical Assisting at Brown Mackie College since 2001. She joined Physicians For Women PC in 2006 and received special training in office based laser techniques in 2007 from Cutera. Mrs. McDowell’s combined cosmetology and medical training enhances her abilities in providing aesthetic medical services with a spa like touch. “Cutera is a wonderful laser. I enjoy working with it and seeing the positive outcomes our clients are receiving”, states Mrs. McDowell.
Debbie Wighaman,Receptionist
Mrs. Wighaman has an extensive background in handling patient needs and coordinating office based operations from human resources to patient billing and scheduling. She joined Physicians For Women in 2003 and provides clients superior attention in scheduling appointments, discussing services and ensuring an overall positive experience. “I am very excited about our laser services. Also being a client, I find the results to be amazing!” exclaims Mrs. Wighaman.
Pam Hennessy,Administrative Manager
Ms. Hennessy received her Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 1982. Her corporate work experience lead her interests and skills into payroll, tax, and software management. In 1990, her analytical abilities were on demand in the health care and medical fields and earned her employment as a consultant in management of patient medical accounts. Ms. Hennessy joined Physicians For Women PC in 2002 and supervises patient accounts and billing. “By adding medical aesthetic services our clients can pamper themselves at the same location they care for their health”, explains Ms. Hennessy.
Michelle Wirsing,Business Manager
Ms. Wirsing received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Valparaiso University in 1985 and her Masters of Business Administration from Loyola University in 1988. Since 1987 Ms. Wirsing has focused on health care operations and management. Her personal interests in physical and mental well-being lead her to believe in the benefits of offering non-invasive aesthetic services as a supportive measure in wholistic health. “The benefits of feeling good about oneself is a powerful tool in maintaining a healthy and youthful mind, which I believe ultimately affects our physical condition”, states Ms. Wirsing.
